POSITION SUMMERY:
The Worship Minister is responsible for leading and developing the worship ministry for the Church. This includes planning and leading worship services, overseeing the worship team, and ensuring that the worship experience aligns with Christ’s Church’s Mission and Values.
PURPOSE:
The Worship Minister strives to honor the presence of GOD and inspire the Church to worship wholeheartedly through faith-building and creative environments. In addition, this position prioritizes equipping and empowering staff, team members, and volunteers on the Worship Ministry Teams.

Formal education (Bachelor’s Degree) in music, worship ministry, or a related field.
Experience with audio/visual technology and worship-related software.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position will require evening and weekend work, including regular Thursday evening practices, Sunday services, along with occasional special events. Experience with audio/visual technology and worship-related software.
The Worship Minister will work closely with the Campus Minister, the Operations Team, Effingham’s Worship Minister, and Media Ministers.

The Worship Minister is responsible for leading and developing the worship ministry for the Church. This includes planning and leading worship services, overseeing the worship team, and ensuring that the worship experience aligns with Christ’s Church’s Mission and Values.
PURPOSE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop ministry & spiritual objectives for the Worship Team in conjunction with the Campus Minister, the Operations Team, Effingham’s Worship Minister, and the Media Ministers (this group of people make up the Worship Planning Team).
- Design effective and relevant corporate worship services in conjunction with Worship Planning Team.
- Plan and execute Worship Team Practices (currently weekly practices are held on Thursdays at 6:30pm).
- Identify potential volunteers and develop audition and onboarding process for incorporating them onto the Worship team.
- Responsible for building up the worship team; continually developing strategy for spiritual and musical growth of Worship Team Members.
- Work in conjunction with the Media Minister to produce quality video, stage setups, and lighting effects to maximize corporate worship services.
- Organize and manage service plans using Planning Center (with correct songs, keys, charts, notes, etc.)
- Must have a good grasp and understanding with audio/visual technology and worship-related software.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of sound, lighting, and technology equipment. Purchasing of equipment as needed.
- Work in conjunction with the Operations Team to develop and maintain a Worship Team Budget.
WEEKLY EXPECTATIONS:
- Maintain weekly communication with the Worship Planning Team.
- Attend weekly Worship Planning Meetings, either in-person or via Zoom (Typically held Mondays at 9:30am)
- Develop a comprehensive plan for onboarding and training team members.
- Assign suitable individuals for vocals, instruments, etc.
- Ensure all click tracks are set up and ready prior to Thursday practice.
- Ensure all music, instruments, placements, auditorium, etc. are setup and ready for Sunday service prior to Thursday practice.
- Lead weekly practice sessions (currently held Thursday evenings at 6:30pm).
- Act as a coach to help team members develop their skills.
- Prepare the team for a Sunday morning run-through before the service.
- Lead the team and congregation during Sunday services.
- Facilitate routine maintenance on lights, projectors, audio/visual equipment, instruments, stage, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Devoted Follower of JESUS CHRIST with a commitment to a continually growing relationship with HIM.
- A strong commitment to the Mission and Values of the Church.
- Proven experience in leading worship and developing worship teams.
- Proficient in playing a musical instrument and/or vocal performance.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
