League Rules

  1. Keep volleyball playing fun.

  2. Eligible players include those 17 and older.

  3. Each team can play up to 9 players at a time.  If you have more than 9 players on a given night, rotate them into play in order so that everyone gets to participate.

  4. Hold the aggressiveness and the spiking down to a minimum.

  5. Open-handed spiking only.  No two-handed spiking.

  6. Servers can serve over-handed for 5 consecutive points in a row and then must serve underhanded.

  7. A ball that hits the net on a serve and still goes over is considered good and playable.

  8. Scoring will go to 25 by rally points, meaning whenever a team loses a play, the other team automatically receives a point, regardless of who is serving.

  9. Hands cannot go into the net during play.

  10. Hands cannot go over the net during play.

  11. The team that wins 2 out of 3 games wins the match.

  12. Please finish playing at least 5 minutes before the hour so that the next two teams can warm up.
